Cellulite is a condition that affects around 80-90% of women and 10% of men. Some of the contributing factors for cellulite are genetics, the slowing down of metabolism and bad circulation. Circulation especially as from the age 25-35, estrogen starts to decrease and you lose receptors in blood vessels, especially around the thighs. Natural Essential Oil Treatment for Cellulite
To make your own cellulite busting oil, just follow these instructions. Make sure to use only pure organic essential oils as cheaper products will not have the maximum beneficial properties.
You will need:
- 2oz dark coloured glass bottle (dark glass will help your oil to last longer, as sunlight will deplete the beneficial properties)
- 1oz organic grape seed oil (to work as a binder)
- 5 drops each of these Organic Essential Oils: Fennel, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Black Pepper.
Pour the Grape Seed Oil into the bottle, then add 5 drops of each essential oil.
Gently shake the bottle so all the ingredients mix well together.
Dry brush your skin to remove dead skin cells before taking a hot shower. Dry off with a towel and then pour a small amount of your oil into your palms and then massage deeply into the affected area for around five minutes. Really making sure you’re getting the circulation working as this is so important in getting the toxins moving in your body so they can be flushed out.
Important Note: Although essential oils are safe to apply direct to the skin, it is advisable to do a spot test on the back of your hand. In case of allergic reaction, wash immediately and seek medical advice.
